Houston Parks: Be An Angel Playground

Look at all the tarps! So much shade for the hot sunny days of Houston

Be an Angel Playground at the Lindsay/Lyons Park in Humble is one of my new favorites! It is HUGE. With tons of things to climb on, play with, slides, a few swings, and other fun learning items like music chimes, solar system education, and connect 4. Most of the playground is covered under tarps so we will be able to play well into the summer! The playground is built on the springy rubber ground which is nice, no bugs but a soft landing.

I like this park because there is a LOT for older kids to do, but there is also a lot for the little toddlers and babies to do. The way the playground is set up, there are a lot of ramps and walkways for them to roam and practice climbing. There are two baby swings and a “learning center” full of things to pull and twist and their height.

The Learning Center, great entertaining things to play with at toddler height!

On top of all that there is a small looping path for bike or scooter racing, restrooms, and many pavilions to eat under or relax in some shade. Another cool feature is that they have build the playground next to a large climbing rock. Perfect for your future rock climber to learn on real rocks! There are also come ships for your budding pirate to rule the seas on. As this is also part of a sports complex, there are many fields that could be used to kick a ball around, blow bubbles, play field games, etc.

There isn’t really any path for adults to walk or jog around so keep in mind that this is really just for the kids.

So many different items to climb, explore, and be imaginative!

We throughly enjoyed this park and will definitely be coming back again and again!
